Father,
After consultation with doctor, I have decided to extract the two wisdom teeth embedded in my lower jaw.
Reason for being so is that, as seen in the graph, the two teeth are growing horizontally towards my other two healthy teeth, which will cause problem for my ongoing orthodontics as they are the reference points for the straightening of my teeth.
Second is that as seen from the graph, the spaces between the abnormally grown teeth and healthy teeth constitute create rooms of debris, which would be inaccessible with toothbrush, micro-headed toothbrush, mouthwash or even dental floss. If we don’t nip it in its bud, then when they come to inflammation, the cost in both physical. mental and financial terms can be substantial.
The government service is not a good option, for the privately taken x-ray is not transferable to them. (i.e. They do not have an office-owned electronic mail account for the patients to send them their details, and after some euphemistic inquiry with them, they seem to be having no intent of creating one) The taking of x-ray takes three weeks, consultation back to the doctor takes two months, queuing for a place for surgery in hospital takes two years at its minimum (i.e. First consultation, then might take one to three months more for actual extraction. You only get priority when they think your case is emergent, such as inflammation, or affecting the orthodontics, but then it will again take some weeks for the different doctors to reach a conclusion. Again even in the case of emergency, it takes half a year as alleged.)
The case is even worse while not all patients would require full body anesthesia, meaning that it can be carried out in normal clinics, they would still send you to hospitals to avoid complications, else I could not think of any reason other than sending you to hospital whereas a lot of my friends are just extracting theirs in normal clinics, although prices vary with different difficulty their teeth would present to their surgeons.
The method of extraction would be to break down my wisdom teeth into pieces and extract them, as the teeth are embedded too deeply that any direct extraction may cause harm to cavity. I have decided to apply for a partial anesthesia (i.e. Injection. They also provide vein drip, which is a sub-level of full body anesthesia), since the process of extraction should be interesting and I want real value-for-money, also it’s more affordable in such a way.
The upper two grows vertically and possess no immediate complications, although in the long run they are, advisably, to be extracted, as they are also in areas where cleaning of them would not be impossible but terribly difficult.
One of them, as shown on the picture on the right, which is actually my left side of cavity, is growing more outward and a simple extraction without cutting open of the gum will be successful. The one of the left of the picture, which is actually the right side of my cavity, is less outward than the left one and would require the cutting open of my gum in order to extract it.
The cost of extraction the below two and the upper right one would be $6000 each, and the upper left one would be $3000. In light of the merciful grant of $6000 our great government has bestowed on me, in additional to the transfer of $5000, the total amount of money I currently possess is $11000.
Now that I am finding myself short of funding, leaving my a margin of $1500 in order to meet the amount, I would like to make a request for your lending of $1500, with $500 as extra for reserve, and would repay it with the salary that I will be receiving in late December for the working hours I have served in my Alma mater.
Regarding the remaining two, I hope the right one will be growing out soon enough as to make itself cheaper, as by then I should have saved enough income of mine to afford myself the ridding of them, else the agony is doomed to be prolonged. Still, even situation deteriorates quicker than I have expected, I would consider any other measures.
Somehow we are reminded by the fact that a tooth and a baby bear some resemblance – If you are to be ridding yourself of one, do it before it gets its head out. If you are getting it by natural method it is more affordable but also a bit more risky, whereas cutting it through would be more expensive but less risky.
Of course, as a logical a responsible person, I am well aware of the risk to take actions with the former while guarding myself against the logical possibility of getting myself into the predicament of having to decide for the latter. This is just added in for providing you some additional information, on both my views that might concern you and on my English proficiency as well.
Yours most sincerely,
Son
